Answers:
There's an article about it!.
It says
There appear to be two possibilities here - either your sensitivity to the smell of ammonia is changing during the menstrual cycle, or there are indeed changes in the production of ammonia during your cycle!.

it sounds normalWww@Answer-Health@Com

Its normal to have a "musty" or "iron" smell while on your period!. Unless it is accompanied by burning, fever or abnormal cramping I would not worry about it!. If all else fails you can always ask your physician at your next exam!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it might be an infection but idk for sure!. there was a Seventeen article a year or 2 back where they listed all the smells for vaginal fluid and blood and what they mean and what is safe or not, try looking on there site (i think it is just seventeen!.com)Www@Answer-Health@Com

There have been medical studys indicating that darker complexed women tend to produce more odor,
dont worry about it, it is completly normal to have an ordor when you are having your period!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
