There's nothing to be scared of!. Some women lactate a little bit spontaneously from time to time, often synchronized with their menstrual cycles!. It amounts only to a few drops and might only be apparent if you actively try to express the milk!. A small minority of women will eject milk during orgasm, too!. Most women who lactate to any significant degree have recently had children, but this is not an absolute requirement, as changes in hormone balance can cause it!. Small hormone swings can be normal for an individual!. It is not cancer, so don't worry about that!.

If the discharge is clear or cloudy white (like milk, in other words), it's not a problem if it only leaks a tiny bit or only when you squeeze it out!. You can mention it to the doctor the next time you see him or her for other reasons!. If you start to produce a lot of milk, you'll want to see a doctor more promptly in order to determine what sort of hormone imbalance is causing it!. Pregnancy can cause lactation, of course, but if you're a virgin, pregnancy is not a likely possibility (and your periods would stop if you were pregnant)!.

If the discharge is any color other than white (yellow, green, pink), you'll want to see a doctor as soon as you can, as that might be an infection or other disorder!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This has something to do with your prolactin levels!. What stimulates you milk glands!.

Are you taking any medication!?

I know Invega (a Schizophrenic or Bipolar medicine)causes lactation!. There are some herbs that cause it too!.

If you are a minor make sure your mom or a trusted female knows about it so you can be watched for changes!.

Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

most likely normal!. If it continues or you notice any blood in the discharge, contact your doctor!. Again, this happens to many women!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
