No period & weight gain?!

Question: I have pretty irregular periods, but they've never been too off.
I haven't had a period in over 2 months and the three at home pregnancy tests were negative, so I'm not sure what could be causing it.

I don't have insurance so I can't see a Doctor right now.

I've also been trying very hard to lose weight for quite some time now and nothing is happening, in fact, I seem to be gaining weight.

I'm just wondering if the two could be related or if anyone knows what might be going on.

If you are pretty sure that you are not pregnant, then i think it probably is your thyroid hormone.
Check out something called 'Hypothyroidism'. lack/decrease of thyroid hormone.
It is very very common.
i just google hypothyroidism and here seems to be a good site

http://www.endocrineweb.com/hypo1.html
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypothyroid...

read and dont stress over if you dont understand something.
All it is saying the hormone is not produced as much and some of the symptoms might be there.
treatment is small pill that you take everyday.

come on now! add it up, your test is probably wrong and you'll have to see a doctor somehow

Go to the health dept. THey are cheap i dont have insurance and they cover almost all of it if not all.hope this helps

possibly
but i doubht it

Yes, your weight gain is probably the reason why you haven't had your period.Keeping trying to lose weight. It will help you in the long run.Your period should become regular as you get older.I had irregular periods when I was younger.

well i know what you are going throught i didn't have my period for about a month and a half so I would just wait it out!!! IF you don't have you period within the next couple of weeks you have to go to a doctor even if you don't have insurance its your health!!!
Good Luck

thats weird hummm?????"

If you don't have insurance you should not be even risking getting pregnant, which you must be otherwise you wouldn't be taking the pregnancy tests. You're probably not pregnant if the tests are negative and use a condom from now on. We don't need anymore babies in this world.
