Whenever I'm done having sexual intercourse with my boyfriend, I notice that I smell fishy. What causes this to happen? I take a lot of showers and I also was my genital very well, but this odor only happens when I am done having sex with my boyfriend.

There are a few possibilities here but the one sure way to find out is a visit to the doctor. It could be him. Unhealthy eating causes a general smelliness for both a man and a woman- also things like garlic and other supplements can influence the taste and smell. Generally speaking, a fishy smell usually means that you wiped incorrectly and introduced some of the "back door" product into your vagina. This is also common when experimenting with anal sex (he can't change his mind and decide that he liked the original point of entry better). Lastly, I have also heard of women who when they climax, secreet a very odorous liquid. A good friend of mine is married to someone who has this issue. So go to your doctor and see what he/ she recommends. Good luck!
If you say it only happens after you have sex with him maybe the fishy smell is coming from him ..
you have a bacteria infection... its common... just go get a pap smear and they will give you antibiotics and thats it.. its not a std so no need to be embarressed!
It can also mean that an infection such as bacterial vaginosis (an example only) could be going on.
The only way to find out for sure is to see your doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they say.
The description of this odor as 'fishy' is a matter of opinion. That is, some people will experience it this way - gay men do, which is why they refer to beaver as fish. I detect no such odor, and don't know any non-gay men who do. Relax. Women's juices have a heavenly odor, even after sex.

Sex sometimes can leave a bad order. The order could be coming from him. If you have had another partner before him and you didn't have this problem then 9 out of 10 the problem could be from him. Why this is I do not know. However, you might want to ask your nurse about it and she could tell you.
