Hi, I have PCOS and was prescribed Metformin 1500 mg a day. I startedgetting regular periods after 3 months on it. 31 day cycles. Amazing, considering I would go a yr without a period. I conceived my daughter 7 months later.

    • I'm not an expert at all, but no one else was answering this question.

    My roommate has hypothyroidism, and she has to take birth control pills in order to have periods. Maybe you should go on the birth control pill.
