Question: Last night, I was felling a little light headed...so I went to the bathroom. I thought I was on my period because...I was bleeding. But, I was bleeding from the wrong hole. My a** was bleeding...by the pints. What am I supposed to do? Do I go to the doctor or is this normal?

I feel your pain. If it's the first time I don't think it's serious. Just make sure that stuff comes out smoothly. You have to define whether it's a hemorroid (you can probably see a little bump if so) or anal fissure (which is like a crack inside and it really hurts and bleeds, sounds like this is what you have), or if it's both. If fissure, get Preparation H cream that contains Hydrocortizone, if hemorroid, get Preparation H for hemorroids, this one is available as cream and suppositories. Change your diet, try to eat liquid foods, buy some semolina grain from Wholefoods, avoid foods that contain calcium (dairy products may cause constipation). Buy flax seeds or flax oil, eat it with every meal. Can also use mineral oil for a while but not too much, otherwise you'll be leaking. Careful with laxatives and lubricants, your body may get used to them. Get better.

Go to the doctor, it could be piles it could be somthing else go to ur docs now! they'l prob have to do a colonoscopy on u have a look at ur colon see if ur bleeding from further inside. you could of torn a vein in your bum when straining to hard doing a poo.
Hemorrhoids most likely. Try witch hazel wipes, (tucks) and some preparation H if it's bad. If you don't see/feel anything on the outside, it could be internal hemorrhoids. If it doesn't clear up soon, see a Dr. It could be something more serious. It could be just a small tear or fissure if you had a large BM too.

Yes, you need to see a doctor today. If you are lightheaded you may have lost a lot of blood. If the bleeding has stopped and you feel normal you still need to see a doctor but it's a little less urgent.
Copious bleeding from the rectum is most definitely not normal. Get to a doctor ASAP.
You could have a cut inside. If you have put a finger in it or something else this is very possible. Lots of blood vessels close to the surface that can rupture due to any trauma.
