amsay don't listen to these people they aren't real doctors and shouldn't be predicting this stuff. If you are so worried go to the doctor but my old nanny used to have breast cancer and she found out she had it when she was 53.(and thats average) doctors thought my mom had breast cancer cuz she had a cyst in her breast and they thought it was malignant(cancerous) but it was just genetic from every woman in my family and they were all benign(non-cancerous) and I'm prob. gonna get them too. Since you're my bff I decided to do a little research on breast cancer and here's what i found. (also my mom works in this area so i got a little from her and she thinks you're crazy when you come over Saturday you can ask her)

What Are the Symptoms of Breast Cancer?

In its early stages, breast cancer usually has no symptoms. As a tumor develops, you may note the following signs:

* A lump in the breast or underarm that persists after your menstrual cycle; often the first apparent symptom of breast cancer, breast lumps are painless, although some may cause a prickly sensation. Lumps are usually visible on a mammogram long before they can be seen or felt.
* Swelling in the armpit.
* Although lumps are usually painless, pain or tenderness in the breast can be a sign of breast cancer.
* A noticeable flattening or indentation on the breast, which may indicate a tumor that cannot be seen or felt.
* Any change in the size, contour, texture, or temperature of the breast; a reddish, pitted surface like the skin of an orange could be a sign of advanced breast cancer.
* A change in the nipple, such as an indrawn or dimpled look, itching or burning sensation, or ulceration; scaling of the nipple is symptomatic of Paget's disease, a localized cancer.
* Unusual discharge from the nipple that may be clear, bloody, or another color. It's usually caused by benign conditions but could be due to cancer in some cases.
* A marble-like area under the skin.
* An area that is distinctly different from any other area on either breast.

Call Your Doctor If:

* One or both breasts develop an abnormal lump or persistent pain, or look or feel abnormal. The cause often is something other than cancer but should be identified.
* You have swollen lymph glands in your armpits. Any such swelling could be associated with cancer.

the "lumps" on your nipples are just your areola forming it's nothing I got them in 4th grade.
When you come over on saturday I'll check if your glands are swollen if it makes you feel any better
(it's when the doctor puts their ice cold hands on your neck lol I hate it when they have to do that)

Did you tell your mom yet??

yes

I highly doubt it.
You are probably scaring yourself thinking about how it runs in your family.
You are probably still just growing.

Some lumps or swelling in the breast tissue may be due to hormonal changes. But if a lump or thickening persists, whether it is in the breast or in the armpit area, it may be a cause for concern. Swelling in the armpit, where the lymph nodes are located, may indicate that the body is fighting an invasion. A lump in the breast tissue may indicate a cyst, or it may indicate a problem in the duct or the lobes. See your doctor or nurse practitioner for a screening. This leakage is usually due to hormonal changes and is not worrisome. However, if the fluid is leaking from only one nipple, is a new discharge, or is bloody, there are several tests that can be done to discover what is causing it.

Breast cancer has never been found in girls younger than their mid twenties, you're just scaring yourself thinking about how it runs in your family, I've done that too. But at 13, don't worry about it.

Haven't you ever taken Human Growth in science?

No sweetheart, you are to young to have breast cancer. My sister was diagnosed with breast cancer at 33 and that is young. You could have cyst on your breast which is normal, since you have such a strong history your doctor will probably start screening you in your early 20's.
