Oh huney. You're Normal.

It's totally normal to get it when you're 13, or 14, or even 15. If you hit 16 and still don't have it, I'd talk to you're doctor about it. Trust me, you don't want to be getting that thing when you're 9 or 10. It sucks to be 13 without having it yet, but it's normal. I was 14. 14 and a month. It has a lot to do with how old your mom was, and even her mom. If it's awkward (and I know it is) try saying this, just all casual like: "hey mom, how old were you when you started to bleed?" (or got your period, or your aunt sally) why huney? "I was just wondering." (you can add: my friend Cassie just got hers) Worst case scenario, your mom starts getting sentimental and teary and tells you about her 14th birthday party when she got it and your aunt sharon stuck a tampon in the cake..... but I digress. It will most likely start with a whitishyellow discharge for a few months (seems like forever) that lasts until several months after you get it (totally normal) but it, IT, can be brown or light red, or deeeeep red and you can feel it when it comes which is really weird.

I know it's embarrassing, and I bet you wish you got it already, but shaving's a pain and an annoyance, and all of your friends who already have it seem so much older... but I'm telling you as like, the oldest person ever to get IT, that my best was 9 and now that we're in our twenties, I get to laugh at her.

"hey meg, remember when we were in 4th grade... and you got your period... and i didn't until 8th grade?" accompanied with a large grin, always. and she glares. : )

And Please don't worry about bras. UGH bras. I didn't get boobs until I was a good 16. (if you really want a good one, get a white Nike sports bra, they're comfy and hide well under any shirt.

Anyway huney, you're TOTALLY normal. It'll happen soon, probably in the next few months, and then you'll hate it for the rest of your life. Welcome to the sisterhood.

Hope it helps!

you are a rrrrrrreeeeeeeeaaaaaaallllllllllllllllll... late bloomer.

You are pefectly normal, don't worry you'll blosom very soon and when you do you probably won't like it much anyway, I've always hated my period, but it's ok it's not as bad as it seems, when it comes it'll be right on time. Don't worry :)

period? its really no big deal.
every girl gets it.
if you dont get it soon tell the docor
