Skipped period on birthcontrol...been bleeding for almost 3 weeks now...?!


Question: okay so i skipped my period on birth control by just starting my new pack instead of taking the placebos....im in the 2nd week of my new pack and ive been bleeding since two sundays ago and im starting to get worried...ive skipped it before and had breakthrough bleeding but its only lasted a day or two...ive been on the same birth control for two years so i dont know why this is happening...any answers would be appreciated...thanks

In my opinion this is normal and seeing a doctor isnt needed. This happened to me and a friend. I skipped a period before and had a month long period. It was really annoying! Make sure u dont miss another period, and by the time you have u start a new pack it should be fine... if not, then see a doctor

You need to go to the doctor if you have had your period for 3 weeks. That is why there is dosage instructions on the package, use it correctly or deal with the consequences. Now instead of just having your period for a few days you are going to have to pay to see a doctor, and pay for whatever medication she uses to correct it. You should never take a medication incorrectly, you do not know the long term side effects it can have on your body.
