Only women please!?!

Question: I'm on my period and believe it or not I've never played softball on my period.I play catcher/cf. In catcher you have to squat I just want to make sure that I'm extra careful and no problems happen. Ne one know ne precautions or helpful hints?
P.S. My coach is really hard on us about not going to the bathroom, hes a man so its kind of embarrassing to tell him that lol

its okay, ive never played softball on my period either! lol. ;o) but if youre comfortable wearing a tampon, you can wear a tampon with a pad for backup, thatll makesure nothing happens. but if youre not comfortable wearing a tampon, just get those extra heavy absorbency overnight pads, you should be fine! i wear those while exercising at the gym, which i guess is about the same level of movement as softball catcher, so you should be fine! no worries =]

Just wear a super tampon and put in a panty liner. You won't spot.

use an extra absorbant tampon/pad whatever.
you could try wearing two pairs of underwear or bike shorts underneath (i dont know what your uniform is like)

tampon and pad but you should not go over 4 hours with both of those to avoid tss toxic shock syndrom tell him if your going to be longer then 4 hours and change your health comes first

Just tell your coach you have to go to the bathroom and if he makes it difficult report him! You don't have to give any details! Take care of yourself and don't let this coach bully you! I wish I was there ... remember to take good care of you.

When my period is heavy I combine tampons and "surfboards" - the really thick pads! and change the tampon every couple of hours.

Enjoy your softball!!

I don't know the answer to this but as a former softball coach I've got to say that we (guys) just don't know how to deal with this sort of problem and no one is helping us to understand it. We are only trying to do what's best for the team. We are not unsympathetic to the girls problems. We just don't understand them.

Make sure you change right before practice.Use absorbant pads so that you won't leak.I don't think you will though. When you are given a break just go straight to the bathroom.
