Light period after not being on the pill?!

Question: I took the pill for about two years but I haven't been on it for about 3-4 months now. I was having problems getting a hold of my doctor so I've made an appointment with a new one.

When I stopped taking the pill I went back to very heavy, painful periods. But my last one was very light for the first day and then it was overly heavy the second. On Sunday, I went to the bathroom and thought "here it comes" but it has been very light since. I thought it was going to be light on the first day again like the last time. It has been the usual dark red, but very scant. And I just went to the bathroom again and I am wiping clean now and haven't used a tampon today.

I am not experiencing cramping, tenderness, or anything that feels abnormal at all. I just have that feeling like I'm getting my period still. I have been much busier than usual the past few months. Is it likely that this is a result of that plus the lack of birth control?

I am sexually active but not much and I am safe.

Light menstruation could be in several cases. In your case there could be few explanations:
1). If you are very young and if you started pills before your menstrual cycles were fully developed
