My Easter binge, please help? Will I gain weight?!


Question: I'm 16, 5'6 and I weigh 130 lbs. I lost 10 lbs so far. I was doing so good! But yesterday and today I really screwed up. I just don't know what came over me the last two days. Everone running around screaming at what they found. Candy on the table, candy on the floor, people throwing candy at each other! My moms hommade spagetti, and delicious (really heavy) wheat bread. People saying "Its easter! EAT SOME! C'MON!!!!!" And I really just caved in. This is what I ate...

Chocolate candy, I stayed away from everything except chocolate. M&MS ect.

LOTS of BREAD! No butter though, but peanut butter instead(the kind with nothing but peanuts, no salt)

A "Dole" peach parfait

Two bananas and 3 1/2 hard boiled egg whites.

I did the best I could, really! I just feel so bad now! I know people keep saying I don't need to loose weight, but I don't want to gain either. Will I gain weight from these two days? I feel so bad, what came over me!?

Please help!

Dont worry! You have to eat 3000 EXTRA calories to gain one pound in a week. I doubt you went that much over and even if you did just try stepping up your next few workouts if you're exercising. Don't feel bad. Dont approach what you did as cheating because trust me everybody on a diet will "cheat" if they see it this way. Starting tomorrow make a diary of every single thing you eat. When you see it that way at the end of the day you might be surprised at how much you overestimated. Im always pleasantly suyrprised by my food diaries. By keeping track, you can monitor which days you cut calories and apply them to a treat another day.

It'll be okay! Geez. Just calm down. Everybody pigs out every once in awhile. Don't worry.

You won't gain any permanent weight as long as you get back on track right now. The biggest mistake I made when losing weight was letting a few days ruin all my progress. So start back with eating healthy and working out and you will not see a gain! :)

no you won't don't worry. I used to weigh as much as you. I'm 15, 5' 6'', and weigh 120 pounds. I pigged out sometimes, and felt bad about it. But you don't gain weight from just ONE day. Just rembember to extercize daily. You don't have to do it for a long time, just do it every day.

your totaly fine, just run or somthign tomorow, and maybe soend a little less calories this week. i had an easter binge today to. i had a slice of banana bread, a bunch of low cal popsicles to slow down eating, i had candy but in rly small quantites, dinner, and a HUGE spend a cookie. normally i only have like 500 but today i had 1,200. trust me, you rbinge was FINE =D

As long as your exercising there should not be a problem with eating a little off of your diet every once and a while. Just get back on track and don't worry about all of the other stress. Even if your exercise regiment consist of walking a mile 3 times a week.

I messed up my diet too!
I couldn't help it I woke up to the smell of a cooking turkey!!

Just do some push ups, crunches, run a bit tonight and you'll be fine!! that's what I'm doing in 2 hours as soon as I get my essay finished.

I gained so much during my first year of college...it sucks.

My mom is 36 and she is 150 pounds AND 5'6.My mom is very skinny. You weighing 130 is very normal.That wasnt even alot of food so dont even sweat it. This is what i ate:
About 40 pieces of all types of candy.
A sloppy joe sanndwich
A bowl of cereal
A boiled egg
A cup of pop
Imagine that thats alot of food of calories.
And im very skinny 11 yrs 5'1 and about 92 pounds. I dont gain very much. And you not fat nor are you very skinny. So dont sweat it please...
