Is it bad to take out a tampon before it is fully absorbed?!

Question: i'm going to the beach with a friend this weeked and i have a feeling i'll get my period around then. I want to go in the pool but i haven't used a tampon yet so i want to practice so my first time wont be away from home. Is it ok to take it out without any absorbancy?

it might give u irritation cuz like it is dry but if u leave it in too long like an hour with out anything on it u have the risk of tss

good luck gettin it to go in while u arent on ur period.... especially if u havent used on before that will be painful

yes, it is safe to practice insertion and removal of a tampon when you are not on your period. please make sure you don't leave the tampon in longer than 4-5 hours WHEN YOU ARE ON YOUR PERIOD. and DO NOT LEAVE A TAMPON INSERTED AT ALL WHEN YOU ARE NOT ON YOUR PERIOD. the longer exposure time in the vagine, the higher your risk of getting Toxic Shock Syndrome.

don't freak out, just don't leave a tampon in when you're not on your period and when you are on your period remove it and insert a new one every 4-5 hours.

You shouldn't use a tampon when you're not on your period, if that's what you mean by practicing. It's not so much the removal as the insertion that will be painful (although both will suck) unless you use lube. If you are on your period, then it's not going to kill you to take it out early, it just might be dry...and therefore a little more uncomfortable that if it's saturated.

Get the smaller / mini types in the light flow variety, they might be more comfortable for your first time. I guess it would be ok to try just don't leave it in for too long if you haven't got your period.

If you're going to be at the beach for awhile (like all day) you cannot keep one in all day, it needs to be changed.

Perhaps you could wear a small pad until it comes time to jump in the water and just duck into the loos and change.

i don't really see why you need to practice. when you start your period, insert it then. if you do it now, it might hurt because your dry. also don't forget to remove the tampon every 4 hours and check every once in a while if your string is showing out of your bikini.
