Depo shot!?!
Question: i got the depo shot in june of 2006 and i bled till september of 2006 but its wasnt heavy enough for a tampon and i havent had a period since. can anyone tell me whats wrong????

I bled for 9 straight months when I was on this Shot. The doctors originally told me that just to wait it out it will go away after 6 months. So 6 months went by and I still had my period and they told me just to wait it out some more. By then my sex life with my husband had gone down the drain. Who wants to be bleeding for 9 months in a row? Besides I think it is very unnatural to be bleeding that long!
So i finally got off of it and now Im on the Nuva ring. It is a ring that goes in your cervix and you only have to worry about it once a month and I never bleed but when Im suppose to...once a month. Its much easier and you dont have to get a shot!!!! I would strongly recommend the Nuva ring...in fact i would recommend anything but the Depo shot for birth control!

All I know is most women don't get their period when receiving depo shots.
Nothing is wrong. This is how Depo works for some women.
