NuvaRing help!!!!!!!!?!

Question: Hey everyone...so here's my situation. I've been on the NUvaRing since about December. Everything is working out fine. Thing is i've just ended my "out" cycle and i'm supposed to start my "in" cycle on tuesday tommorow. For some reason i believed that today was Tuesday, so i put it in. I immediately realized what i did so i took it out, but it in it's pouch and am keeping it at room temp. as advised. Now if i put it in tommorow...can it affect the release of hormones or anything? Can i ruin its process this way? Thanks so much.

by the way...i'm not sure if after i receive it from the pharmacy and before personal use, if i'm supposed to refrigerate it or not. Is it ok to keep it at room temperature before use?

It should be fine. Just keep it in the pouch so it doesn't get dirty, and rinse it off with some cool water before you reinsert it. The hormone levels won't be affected, since they release slowly over time.

You don't need to refrigerate it. Just make sure it stays at normal room temperature and doesn't get too hot. (I would recommend no more than about 80 degrees, though the drug facts insert you get from the pharmacy may have more exact instructions.)

should definitely call the doc who prescribed them instead of yahoo answers. could be fatal, never know

you will be fine but yes it does need to be refrigerated they keep it in a refrigerator in the pharmacy and so do the doctors who keep samples at their clinics..i was on nuva ring for 8 mo.
