Question for women with breast implants?!

Question: I'm considering getting them. What are your experiences? Was the recovery painful? How did you feel before and after the implants? Do you regret it?

i have had mine for 7 years. i got the saline ones, because back then the silicone implants were still controversial. i put in 375 cc's because i wanted to be a good sized C cup. (i'm 5'4" and about 105 lbs). i went under the muscle, and have a slight scar under the breast. i have been completely happy with everything. the recovery was alittle rough for about a week, but as long as i stayed on top of my meds it was fine. it was a different kind of pain than having babies (if you've had any) but it was manageable. after about three weeks i felt totally normal. the only down side i would say is i have alittle bit of numbness on one breast that never went away. it got better over time, but there is one little spot that i still have very little feeling. now for me, it's not that big a deal, but some may say that is insane to subject yourself to. so you have to weigh those things. also, the saline implants definitely show ripples more than the silicone, so that may be a better option for most. (i have some rippling when i bend over). there was a website that was very helpful for me, called "implantinfo.com"

I got implants almost a year ago. I got the cohesive silicone gel underneath the muscle.

I went from a size A to a small D. I would do it all over again! It wasn't so much as "painful" more of a nuisance type of pain because you can't really move. I was way hopped up oin percocet so maybe i didn't notice it all that much - I think the worst part was the first couple days afterwards when people have to shower you, wipe you, brush your hair, etc. I was lucky enough to be on my period at that time - can you imagine how my mom felt?! Hahahah.

No, I love them. No one can tell they are fake. They are proportioned to my body and make me feel so much more confident about myself.

I recommend them to anyone who thinks they would like them. As long as you are in good health, understand the risks, can afford them, and dont plan on going humongo style - I think its a good thing.

Anyone who tells you that they are for shallow people - dont listen to them. They dont know - they just want to feel above you. No one would argue with me about it because they wouldnt even know I implants.

I got implants 2 years ago. I recieved 425cc saline. My incision was transaxillary. My recovery was painful because I was very small before so the stretching of skin and the awkward placement of the incisions did make for a rough recovery. I felt much better after a week. As long as all of the post-op instructions are completed properly it is not that bad. I love my implants and so does my husband. I now feel like a woman. I would do it all over again and I probably will after children. Just consider what size and incision will be best for your lifestyle and make a good informed decision on a board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck!
