Not Hungry.?!


Question: I didn't eat all day, I woke up late and didn't have
time for breakfast and for lunch I wasn't hungry
and for dinner I still wasn't hungry. And now I'm
still not hungry I didn't eat all day. Is that weird?

This is routinely something that struggle with!

What happens when you miss a meal is this - your stomach thinks "Shoot, I'm not getting any food" and starts to shrink. Literally! The longer you don't eat, the smaller and smaller your stomach gets, which in turn, makes YOU think that you aren't hungry.

Obviously it does stop shrinking, (it doesn't implode or anything) but it is possible to go through an entire day, not eat anything, and not feel hunger.

It's another matter though in the next few days when you don't eat - you will begin to feel it.

BUT, it's incredibly unhealthy. Our bodies are designed to need nourishment on a regular basis, and denying it that nourishment is very bad. Don't ever think that skipping one, two, or three meals is a good way to loose weight because it's not!

You actually burn more fat by eating calories (which is energy) than if you don't eat at all. I know you didn't do it on purpose, so I'm not pointing the finger! Just letting you know what happens!

So make sure to ALWAYS eat something in the morning if you can, and if not, then at LEAST have something by 10. Then continue on the rest of your day with regular meals.

its not weird.. but if you arent sick, you really should try to eat a little something, or drink something like ensure..

yesss.... u have to eat and u cant keep this up u can have an eating disorder u can become anerexic and thats badd u have to eatt at least somethingg , doesnt matter if ur not hungry u have to eatt itt(:

This usually happens to me if I move or go on a trip, or start something new like school or a job. I almost always lose my appetite for a couple of days but make myself eat. Eating is important!

No, have some juice or a small glass of milk. Don't go to bed on an empty stomach and don't fill up just before you go to bed either. Both are bad for you.

i havent eatin in 3 days i only drunk water because my track coach says i need to lose 10 lbs before the next compo on march 3rd so i havent been hungry ether i weight 126 so i need to be down around 115 or 116 but ya it is normal not to fell hungry if you dopnt eat becase it is is a good way to lose weight because your boddy start eatting away at the fat tissue first after word the mussel but i tyhink you have to not eat for 3 or 4 days before that happens i dont now im not hungry eather
