There are other tests such as the wedding ring on a string test, judging gender by the heart beat (girls are sometimes faster), judging by the way a woman is carrying (carrying a boy tends to be more out front and like a basketball down low and carrying a girl can be more spread out and higher...I think) but those aren't really reliable.

Carrying high is commonly a girl carrying low is commonly a boy LOl Also boys also usually have faster heartbeats then girls. Goodluck.

Not for sure, no. There are many old wives' tales regarding this, but none of them have been proven to be completely accurate.
There are a LOT of old wives tales out there claiming you can tell how high or low a woman is carrying, the baby's heartrate and various other methods, but none will give you an answer as to the baby's sex. Let's face it, they all have a 50/50 chance of being right! Scans can usually tell, but even they are wrong sometimes. DNA testing of the fetus would be the only sure fire way to tell.
Old wife's tales say that if her tummy is really low it is a boy and if it is higher and pointy big it is a girl my grandma told me correct for all 4 of my kids and she was rite but you know it's just a old woman tale science does tell you the correct thing plus boys don't make you soo sick the girls does a number on the mother good luck
