just read the directions on the box.
if it doesn't clear up, it might not be a yeast infection.
it's ok to get the occasional itch down there, but if it is happening all the time and there is a clumpy discharge, its probably a yeast infection. If you aren't having sex, or sexual contact, it won't be an std.

monistat is for a yeast infection.. all you have to do is fill up the tub with the creme and insert it into your vagina.. read the directions so you know wat your doin.. and it shouldn't hurt so put it in slowly so it feels comfortable

Well is it itchy Up inside the vagina? Is there white or yellow globby discharge that crusts on your underwear? Is it a little stinky? If so, then you probably have a yeast infection. All you have to do is put the egg thing on the top part of the plastic applicator and stick it up. then press in the plastic knob part to release the egg. Wear a panty liner for the night because some shiny stuff will drip out. That is cleaning it out. You could also try reading the directions in the box.

You might have to go to the doc to see what's up down there. But usually when you have a yeast infection, you get a smelly yellow discharge, with itching. But you really never know. Sometimes you get irritated for other reasons. Lacy panties, tight pants, etc. I myself have used monistat and it did nothing for me. Your best bet is to go see a gyno. Good Luck!

You need to see your doctor before using Monistat. If you have never had a yeast infection before, you should never use a medication before knowing it is the right medication for the problem. It could be something entirely different, and using the wrong medicine could make it worse. Talk to your mom and tell her what is going on. She will take you to the Dr. Since you've started your period, it's time for you to have female exams to make sure everything is ok.
