Non-period related breast pain?!
Question: My sister Dana is having breast pains similar to period breast pains but her period is not due for another 3 weeks. I'm pretty sure shes not still growing (shes 20) and shes not pregnant. There is a history of breast cancer in our family but she said she didn't feel any lumps when she checked in the shower today. I tried doing a google search but it wasn't very helpful. Does anyone know what could be wrong? Oh, and if this helps she took the morning after pill about 4-5 months ago and it has thrown her body off. She use to have 29 day cycles but now its 39-40 day cycles and shes experiencing longer periods too. But its never caused her breasts to hurt before they should. Could this be the possibly be the cause? Thanks!

According to other websites, breast pain can be caused by hormone changes during periods, water retention, injury to your breast (were they rough when they were making out?), pregnancy, breast-feeding, an infection in the breast and sometimes breast cancer (but don't worry cancer is not usually the cause of breast pain). You should see your doctor if if keeps hurting just to be on the safe side, but it might just be hormones even if she is no longer growing.
It sounds funny, but is she dating anyone? Sometimes when I'm feeling horny my breasts hurt... it's just a matter of waiting it out.
I would not worry about it. Maybe her breast are still growing. How old is she?
