Embarrassing but..I smell down there...?!
Question: Well for the longest time I have had this thick whitish discharge that smells. Not a fishy smell but jus this odor. i cant explain it. Im 14 and im really embarased about this subject so i wouldnt dare ask my mom or doctor in that matter.
i am overweight if that has anything to do with it...

Do you itch or does it sting/burn when you urinate? If so, you may have a yeast infection. Yeast can be present whether or not you are a virgin, and whether or not you're sexually active.
One of the answerers suggested wearing cotton underwear, which is right, but also be sure they're not too tight.
An over the counter yeast infection test is now available at the drugstore or over in the pharmacy section of Wal-Mart for roughly $15. If you decide to do this test and it's positive for yeast, there are over the counter remedies which are very effective....Monistat is one. But yeast isn't anything to be ashamed nor embarassed about, your mother should know what to do if you go ahead and tell her about it.
Being overweight shouldn't have anything to do with the white discharge, but if you're taking a bath instead of a shower, that might have something to do with it. I am very overweight myself, and I find it tough to get clean in all "those" places when I take a bath. I find a shower makes it easier to get all the way clean.
So, think about talking with your mom about what you've told all of us here, I'm sure she'll be of great help to you. If you're still unnerved about that, then make an appointment with your local health department....tell the receptionist when you call what your problem is and see if they can be of some help. It's not your regular family doctor, and your information will be kept confidential even from your parents.

It perfectly normal. You may need to wash down there often, but don't use perfume soaps (warm clean water inside only). Change you underwear often too. Cotton is best.
you need to start douching a lot more like one -two a month also,drink more liquids !!white discharge is normal

the white stuff is discharge, completely normal. wear a pantie liner if its leaking through your panties. as for the smell, everyone has a slight odor, but just make sure you wash yourself well down there.
also dont listen to that girl up there, never douche. its really bad for your body. your body cleans itself out.
It is seamen from puberty. Normal if u r a boy 4 ur age. It will happen naturally so don't be afraid 2 tell a adult...if u r a girl it is seamen leaking from ur vagina which is BAD! TELL AN ADULT AT ONCE!
