if you don't wanna use a tampon, use a pad without wings so nobody can tell you have one on.

learn quick, here ya go hon http://womenshealth.about.com/cs/azhealt...

Stop panicking and buy some tampons for your next period and practise putting one in. Its not rocket science and they come with pretty comprehensive diagrams.

if your not a heavy flow just wear a pad. youll be fine

Tampons or a menstrual cup are your only options.

Conquer your fears!

don't be afraid to try a tampon. if shes a really good friend u could tell her that ur having your period around then and maybe she'd understand if you didnt do EVERYTHING the other girls were doing....

This seems pretty thoughtless. Lets review your options.

1)Start using tampons.
2)Dont go.
3) Just sit there while everyone has fun (mind you, it'll be humid and hot in there if its indoor)

I hope you go with number 2 ! Tampons can be intimidating but dont worry, they wont kill you!

good luck!

Okay I have to answer this one!! I NEVER did wear tampons until the very same thing happened to me and I had no choice! Let me tell you if you do you will NEVER go back to a pad again! It was the best thing ever! It sounds stupid but I was kinda scared and I have had 2 kids LOL but I just thought it would feel uncomfortable. It really doesnt, you wouldnt even know it was there!and putting it in is nothing! just try it okay! you wont regret it.
good luck and have fun swimming LOL

Try using Platex Sport tampons. Talk to your friends or mom about it. Relax! She's your best friend anyway, talk to her about it.

Note that if you are on the pill, you can easily use them to delay your period by several days.

I just thought this was worth mentioning.

tampons really arent as bad as you think. i was afraid at first but its not bad at all. try or unfortunately u cant go to your friends party.

good luck!! and by the way.. saying no guys allowed isnt going to stop them just so you know.

You could try using a tampon before then just to practice, if you have some lubricant try using it so that way once its in it will be easy to get it out. Once you get the hang of it, it's not so bad.

use a tampon. they aren't that bad

you should wear tampons.
you'll thank yourself later.

learn or stay home.

Try a tampon or menstrual cup. I have used the Instead Softcup and the Keeper and I like them both. They are safe and easy to use.

Try the mini tampons they are very small. I had the same problem and even the very small tampons hurt and felt dry and uncomfortable for a while. I would also suggest getting a tube of ky lubrication jelly, if you put a little dab on the top of it or even on your opening first this would probably help you to insert the tampon and get it in the right place. Make sure you only use a little bit and don't use anything other than a proper lubrication jelly like Vasoline or other creams as they are petrolium based and are not meant to be put there. Try it before your period to get the hang of it first this might make it more easy for the day of the party.

Once you start using tampons, you will wish you did a while ago. Don't be afraid. You may want to buy the slender ones or the smaller ones (ob). Go and have a good time.
