The blade getss dull, then you won't get a clean shave and its easier to cut your self with a duller blade. Change it regularly, like every 3 uses, max.

I change mine every week or two. It's only because I get bumps on my legs if I don't, so I discovered if I change my blade more often, then my legs don't get red bumps.

if you rinse them and dry them with a towel after use, you can go for months and months without changing them. it's a secret the shaving products companies don't want you to know that you only need to change blades when they get dull

Once a month is good unless you think it's not doing the job it's supposed to i.e. the blade is not sharp
