What does your cervix feel like when you are ovulating?!

Question: What is it supposed to feel like? If you are ovulating it is supposed to be soft and "low" meaning easier to reach right? How long do you usually ovulate for? After ovulation is over when is it "safe" to have sex?

Also what exactly is your hymn and where is it?

I dont't know my body very well so I'm trying to figure it out.

During ovulation, the cervix should be low and soft (like the tip of your nose). Ovulation generally spans just a day, and the safest bet is to wait four days after ovulation is confirmed before resuming sexual activity, in case you ovulate twice.

The hymen is a sort of spongy "seal" over your vagina, which breaks during intercourse (but can also break during sports or other strenuous activities). Some women bleed when the hymen is broken, but not everyone does.

Good for you trying to learn your body. There are some really great books about this - I would recommend Toni Weschler's "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" if you want to learn more details.
