an OBGYN is the female Doc. Your OBGYN makes sure that your private parts are healthy and in proper working order. When you are much older married and pregnant you will also see the OBGYN to make sure your baby is healthy. Hope this helps. If you're ready to have this talk with your mom ask her don't wait for her to tell you. Parents don't always know when to have these talks so sometimes we need our children to push us along.

Obstetrician/Gynecologist.

the doctor that takes care of feminine things....

It stands for 'obstetrics and gynecology', a doctor with those two specialties is someone who's an expert with the female reproductive system

An OBGYN is a doctor with two combined degrees.

OB-Obstetrics (having to do with birthing babies)

GYN-Gynecologist (specifically a girl doctor)

i believe you have it backwards it OBGYN its obstetrics and gynecology you see them if you're having infertility problems or birth issues if you cant get pregnant and you have the desire to get pregnant you would see an OBGYN

OB/GYN stands for obstetrician/gynecologist and it's a doctor who specializes in women's health. Since you're still only 12, you probably don't need to see one yet since your body is beginning to develop. Here's a link that might help you out:
