I wouldn't worry about a pregnancy test till it has been at least 2 weeks late.

Other factors...changes in weight, starting/stopping medications, exercising, hormone changes etc.

are you sexually active? Have you had sex since your last period? If so, you could be pregnant. The tests available today are very sensitive and can detect pregnancy even before a missed period. If you are stressing, get a test. If you are generally very regular, then 3 days is late enough to be concerned. If you don't want to be pregnant, see your ObGyn for birth control AND have your BF use a condom EVERY time. Nothing is 100% effective, so use both. You took a test last month and now worried again this month, this should be a wakeup call for you. If you are not pregnant, that is good, but do not have sex again until you have taken care of the birth control issue! If you are pregnant, good luck, because life is about to get a lot more complicated. Best of luck to you.
