Serious question ladies? i need real answers from real women you know what they !

Question: i've had previous history of chlamydia i've been treated and i went be to be rechecked to see if i was fine the doctor said i was good nothing was wrong with me this happened in october/november of 2007. my question ladies is if i want to get pregnant will any complications occur while im delivering is it possible that i would have a healthy baby and a safe delivery. theres not a possible chance that the baby would be infected with anything right. i get a womans exam annually and they never find anything wrong with me until that one time they found out and i found out as well that i had an STD. im fine now every time im sexually active i use a condom. will my baby be okay if i do decide to have one. im counting on real answers and real answers only no little girls who wants to lay a smart comment on me im a grown *** woman and i dont have time for little girl games. if you cant answer my question with adult since then dont answer it at all. thanks!!!!

I also had chlamydia once when i was younger and since I have had 3 kids and all are perfectly fine. You don't have to be concerned as long as you've been treated for it. Even if you are pregnant when you get as long as you get regular check ups and it is caught immediately your baby will still be fine as was the case with me so take it from someone who has really experienced it first hand it'll be fine just keep getting those regular exams.

You should have a safe pregnancy and delivery. Your doctor will talk to you in depth about it when your pregnancy is confirmed. Good Luck

you should be fine just keep going to the doctor to see if you have any std's cause even with a condon you can still catch one but for everytime you get chlamydia it lowers your chances of becoming preg by 25% but if you do get preg your baby should be fine

When I was 16 I had it too. It was treated and I was fine I had a healthy 10 lb baby when I was 19.The std had nothing to do with my baby at that point. As long as you don't have it when you deliver.and As long as you don't get it over and over or let it go for to long you should be fine and so will a baby. If it was something that was non curable that would be different. Chlamydia does cause scaring on the tissue but not bad unless you keep getting it or had it for a long time without treatment. No worries your baby will be fine :)

I would go to www.babycenter.com they have a lot a great info and I know they would be able to help you out with this answer!!!

First off, chlamydia is curable. If you have been adequately treated with the appropriate antibiotic you should be fine. There are things to consider though, one, have you been exposed to chlamydia again since your treatment? Two, were you checked for the other common STD's with your last exam? And three, how long did you have chlamydia without knowing - it will scar the fallopian tubes and make a successful pregnancy difficult if it is not promptly treated.

Your healthcare provider can do a test that looks for the DNA of the organism, it is called "Chlamydia by PCR", chances are that this is the test that detected your infection in the first place. You should have a follow-up PCR test to assure that the infection is completely cured. As far as pregnancy and childbirth are concerned, if there is no scarring of your reproductive tract, there should be no complications with conception, pregnancy, or delivery. It is standard practice to test expectant moms for STD's at their initial OB visit and to re-test a few weeks prior to the expected delivery date.

Hope this helps with your concerns.

You should really discuss this and any other concerns with your gynecologist.
