Bulimic..??!

Question: The start of last year i started taking laxatives to make me lose weight i lost about 15lbs. i stopped. and the other day i heard it's actually called bulimia when you take laxatives. is it?
and the other day i started throwing up, because i want to lose more weight, i have 3 weeks to loose 20 pounds. So my last resort was puking.

I at the moment weigh 135lbs and my height is 5'7.
It's a very unhealthy weight very close to obese..

Will i lose 20 pounds in 3 weeks if i only eat one small meal perday and then throw it up??

PS. I don't care if you post stuff about how it's wrong, because i don't honestly care, my body, my life.

Yes. 15 - 20lbs.

135 pountds at 5 7" is amazing i thnk ur under weight
im 5 4" an i weigh 120 im not overweight im average

Your body mass index is 21.1, which is right in the middle of the normal range. Meaning, you do not need to lose weight.

You may lose the 20 pounds, but the health risks outweigh the purpose of doing so. If you only eat one meal a day and then throw it up, you will have no nutrients in your body. Basicially you'll be starving yourself. Also, throwing up day after day over time will wear down your esophagus. You'll also set yourself up for anemia, heart problems...well, you get the picture. I won't say that what you want to do is wrong, because you don't want lectures, but I'd suggest you diet in a much healthier way if you care at all about yourself.

I know you said you didn't care about how bad this is but I've been in your shoes before. I was bulimic and took laxatives for about a year and lost a lot of weight. I am 5'9 and weighed 102 pounds at the end of that year. I also lost hair, my teeth fell out from the acid in my mouth from vomiting, and I was so weak I couldn't turn the wheel of my car. Yes...your going to lose weight popping laxatives like their skittles and putting your finger down your throat. Your also going to suffer the consequences of doing those things for the rest of your life. PLEASE get some help. Being 5'7 and 135lbs is completely normal and healthy.

bulimia is when you throw up, not taking laxatives

go on the internet and check out your Body mass index rating...your height and weight are perfect! Taking laxatives to lose weight is dangerous and cause cause irreversable damage to your body. It can make it so you cant poo on your own...then you will need a smelly colosomy bag attached to you.

Just eat healthy and excercise if your concerned,,,

if you eat one meal a day and throw it up you will probably loose the weight, this is because as your body cannot get the energy it needs from the food, it will break down the fat in your body and use that as energy, but eating that little causes lack of energy, sleeping also speeds up metabolism, (the rate your body burns energy, lack of sleep slows it down).

actually, i don't think you can loose the weight! i know your not going to like hearing this but we did a study on bulimia at school and you body goes into starvation mode and you will actually gain weight before you start loosing it, because you body will start eating its self and you will eventually die. i lost 10 pound in two weeks by exercising every day for an hour and eating 6 small meals a day. I've lost two friends because they were bulimic and 1 anorexic! i just wish i could have helped them sooner. bulimia is not the way to go so if you really want to loose weight just do it the right way!

Can i be bilimic too bc im 5'5 and 110 and XS and size 3 so can i be bilimic? Should i be?(P.S. u dont really loose waight when u puce it all up trust me just work out)

I'm a fitness model at 5'8 and 130. I look great with muscles toned and have lots of energy. You are only making yourself sick. Why don't you try to watch your diet lots of veggies, fruit, and protein and exercise instead. Your body needs calories to repair itself. (organs, muscles, hair, etc) You may lose weight but you can also lose your hair and other health related issues. Curves are sexy and hip bones are not. It's so so so sad to hear.

Your body, your life? Wow...you must be quite young. I became a purging anorexic in high school. Lost a ton of weight. Lost a ton of hair. Reduced my potassium levels so far so fast I caused permanent damage to my heart and will forever be taking medication for it. When things got really bad, I would punish myself for thinking about food. It was the most painful experience of my life. I spent some time in a psychiatric children's hospital and have recovered well.
So think. Grow up. And stop being so selfish. Starving your body is killing yourself. Killing yourself will hurt more than just you.

You may loss the weight, but the wealth situations that you'll have later on in life are going to be a lot more extreme then just being overweight. And you don't seem to be overweight, I think that's normal actually. "My body, my life"? How old are you? While it may be your life and your body, there are people who care about how you take care of it and want you to have a good, healthy life and body. Love, I know you don't want to be told that it's wrong to be doing, but it is. And you need to see a doctor or talk to a close friend or parent who will help you find an alternative to bulimia. It's not healthy and can have devastating results. We tell you this because we don't want to see you get hurt. Please talk to someone about a proper way to loss weight if that's what you really want to do.
With all do respect,
Cali
