I have a very large thyroid and my doctor is sending me to a FACS doctor?!
Question: Does that mean im going to have to have my thyroid removed? My doctor wouldnt even give me any of my test results. He said we would talk about it after I went to the the other doctor (FACS after MD)

Maybe you need a 2nd round with original Dr. to explain.
Better to get it out if it's too big. My mom had to have hers removed but the doctor's were dumb and kept saying it was fine and it wrapped around her esophagus and caused a lot of damage. But then again, they put a bunch of clips in her and they move all the time. And you have rights to your medical records btw.
I'm really concerned that you say that your doctor "wouldn't give me any of my test results". That is not right. It sounds like your doctor is sending you to a specialist. I have worked in surgery with both General Surgeons and ENT's during neck and thyroid surgeries. If it was me, I'd be seeing an ENT doctor (ear/nose/throat). Good luck to you.
