Not hungry while on period?!
Question: I know this is a weird question, but is it normal to not be hungry while on your period? It's happened a lot, I've just never thought about it too much. I know you can eat 250 extra calories while on your period because your body burns more, but I'm not hungry at all? Is that normal?

This isn't weird. It's completely normal. Because your hormone's are raging, your brain (, and nervous system), and the some of the chemicals in your body are working differently. And as you know already, you feel bloated and this can cause you to be put off of eating or on the other hand just make you feel full. But anyway, this is normal :]
dont worry, im never hungry when i have my period. i only get hungry the week before im getting my period. and i mostly crave chocolate
I'm hardly ever hungry on my period...i guess the cramps get in the way of hunger....we can really eat 250 more calories when we are on our periods?!?! thats awsome!
normally im hungrier - im sure it all depends on the person and their body!
I'm never hungry for the first day or so of my period due to the cramping and nausea. It's normal--everyone is different (some of us aren't hungry, some of us are ravenous).
YES!!!!! Its not a weird question,,,i am actually the same way. Like 2 days before my period all i want to do is eat salty food then chocolate...but then when i GET my period im just not hungry at all, i could go days without eating ( i dont,,i just COULD, lol)
I didnt know about the 250 calorie thing. That rocks! Dont worry. Everyone reacts to their periods in different ways. With me, I actually get a lot hungrier. It all depends on the person.
I feel so bloated when I am on my period, like I am already full, so it takes a while with not eating to actually feel hungry, like when I start getting hunger pains. Even then I still do not want to eat much, I usually opt for something light like soup. I do crave chocolate though, but I only have a bit of it.
It sounds like it's normal for you....everyone is different. For me the first 2 or 3 days were terrible....cramping, nausea, headache....so I wasn't hungry because of the physical discomfort.
im never hungry either.
