Is it normal for this really weird side effect to happen when you take yeast inf!
Question: Excuse my ignorance, but this is my first yeast infection. At first I was just itching, so I inserted a Monistat pill into my vagina. An hour later, I am starting to burn for the first time and thick, stick white stuff (i assume it's the pill b/c it smells medicine-like?) is ozing out of my privates. It's disgusting.
Is this supposed to happen? Is my yeast infection getting worse or is the medicine making me burn?
PS: Sorry to be so graphic. I go to an HMO and they can't see me until Wednesday, so I have nowhere to turn.

That white stuff that is leaking out is the result of the little "pill" that you inserted into your vagina; it has begun to break down to the form of a cream. For some women, even a burning like sensation will follow with it.
It happens don't worry, and it will go away within a few days - next time you have a vaginal yeast infection, there's less chance of leakage if you insert the little thing before you go to bed.
