Question about ortho tri-cyclin lo?!

Question: i've been on ortho tri-cyclin since august. i heard that if you wanted to skip a period just start a new pack of pills once the old one is done. i did that this past weekend so that i won't have to deal with my period for the new year. this morning i started my period! is this normal should i be bleeding if i started the pills again? should i continue to take them or should i stop? will the pharmacist give me another pack since i used four pills? thanks a lot

when you skip a period using birth control then the results can be unpredictable. after being on the pill for two years i still can't skip a period this way because i get spotting.

something like this is normal and you are fine and you can continue taking the birth control for this month without any side effects. so you might as well use the pack so that your body stays on schedule and then start a new one after giving the fourth week a rest (placebo) week instead of taking pills again.

and no the pharmacist wouldn't give you another pack.
