I think you are referring to douching, which is very bad for your vagina. It messes with the natural PH balance inside that keep bacterial from growing, preventing infections.
Seconding the above answer. You're probably thinking of douche. That stuff will give you bacterial vaginosis and yeast infections. It is bad news. Besides, your vagina is self-cleaning.

Douching is not a good idea. Like the first person said...your vagina contains good bacteria and bad...douching gets rid of both....that in turn knocks off your natural flow of things down there which can lead to infections/yeast infections...and makes you more susceptable for getting stds (if you came in contact with one that is) and all sorts of other bad things. Also knocking off your natural flow of things in your vagina actually LEADS to you smelling a bit stronger than you normally would. It actually does the opposite of what you want.
FYI...your vagina naturally cleans itself out after ones period...let nature take it's course. Trust me your better off. If you want to feel fresher...use a wipe or something like that. Outside only feminine hygiene products.
