"the pill" and pregnancy?!

Question: Just out of curiosity

A woman taking the pill becomes pregnant but doesn't know until her next cycle but during that month she is still taking her pill. Could it have a negative affect on the baby? if yes what could be the end result when he/she is born?

Just in case someone says this, this is actually possible, not all woman get morning sickness and there is still that 1% chance of pregnancy..yes its much more unlikely to happen. and I'm just curious to know about the out come.

i was on the pill and got pregnant and my daughter turned out healthy as a horse. your body has a way of knowing what is good and what is not good for the baby in the first months especially mostly because it only takes the esential nutrients from what you eat or take. though a doctor will do an initial check up on you including blood/urine tests and do an ultrasound just to make sure everything is going along fine. If you have concerns my suggestion is to make a list of questions to ask the doctor on your first visit, alot of times he can give you matter of fact answers on things that seem to weigh on your mind
good luck

I've heard different things about this. Apparently it's not significantly harmful, but they do advise you to stop taking birth control pills immediately if you're pregnant or to see your doctor immediately if you suspect you're pregnant.

It's not harmful, they just suggest you stop the pill when you get pregnant just in case there is side effects but, no there isn't.

I think the main concern is that it can effect the uterine lining.
