Period and Pill question??!
Question: Well my period finally started today so thats taken care of.I stopped taking birth control in August due to the fact our insurance ran out.I was on it to regulate my period and since then its been a very wacky period.Im 18 and a virgin.Is my period just irregluar or is it PCOS?Im very concerned since I have a lot of symptoms of PCOS.Also if I go to planned parenthood will they give me free gyno exam and birth control even though im a virgin?OR is there any free insurance out there for a person like me?Thanks for the help.

Planned parenthood will charge you for an exam but it is not nearly as expensive as going to a regular gyno office, the first answer was extremly wrong, The birth control there is also low priced but not free, you may want to call your local health department and see if they have health insurance at a free or extremly discounted price, also if you are attending college they might offer health insurance or have a clinic at the campus you can go to
yeah planned parenthood will give u a free exam if ur a virgin...its just a lil different, they actually enter through ur anus to check ur ovaries, but anyway they will also give u generic birth control if u ask for it.
Go to planned parenthood, as long as you have the ability to get pregnant (i.e. tubes aren't tied, sterile, or have had a hysterectomy) they will see you. Your local health unit should be able to help or at least advise. Good for you on being an 18 year old virgin.
