I'm 15 and i want birth control pill...?!

Question: i'm not sexually active, but i'm getting annoyed with my periods because they give me constant diarrhea and painful belly aches. Will they prescribe me them even if im a virgin? I'm 15 by the way

A lot of women go on the pill because of problems with their periods, actually more than most people think. It is a way of regulating them, keeping down some of the pain and keeping the length of the flow down, I would talk to your mother about all the problems you are having with your periods and ask your mother to take you to the doctor, I am not sure where you are from but where I am from until you are 16 you need your parents permission to go on the pill. If your mother has ever had any problems with her cycle she will understand and if she knows her daughter then she will also know that you are not asking to go on the pill just so you can start having sex. So don't worry and go and talk to your mother, but if that really is an impossiblity, go to a free clinic, talk to a doctor their some of those doctors even give out up to 3 months supply free. Check into it. Being a virgin has absolutely nothing to do with the situation at all, in fact it might help you in pleading your case to both your mother and the doctor, they will understand that you are not asking because you want to have sex and you don't want to miss any school or special events because you are at home in agony because of your period. Now go.. Good Luck

yes they will. alot of women, even virgins, take the pill to help with their periods to either calm them down and make them regular. ask your doctor for them, they will prescribe it for you.

No. You don't need birth control anyway. Talk to your mom and doctor.

I was prescribed birth control when I was 15 because of a hormonal condition where I develop extremely painful ovarian cysts. It definitely controlled my periods (I had one last for 23 days... ouch) but I'm not sure if they would prescribe it to you JUST on the basis of controlling your periods... but you can certainly explain the situation to your doctor and see what he/she says.

They do prescribe the pill to virgins (and non-virgins) for medical reasons such as irregular periods.

No birth control pill helps with cramps nor diarrhea. There are other meds for those.

At 15 your periods are still adjusting so going on hormones for a reason other than irregularity would screw you up good.

Wait until you're 18. Your periods should be stable by then.

Yeahh. But I Suggest Talking to your parents about it first. && Also. The nurse might possibly prescribe yoo with Mefanimic acid. which is pain killer espescially for periods.

hiy!
yo shouw taw ta ya mama!!!

Taking the pill isn't the answer to those problems

Your constant diarrhea and painful belly aches should not be happening.

See a doctor and get some proper medical help.

l0l . i don't understand how a man answered this question ; but okay . yeahh you can get BC pills at 15 even if you're a virgin or not . that's how my cramps use 2 be until i got on tha pill &&; they really helped Al0TTT .

yes they will. just talk to your doctor...the pill does more then just prevent pregnancy. if u dont wana ask your parents for the pill u can go to any place Title "X" funds such as planned parenthood and u can get them there and your parents dont have to be notified.

Go ahead; I'm not responsible.
