Im still bleeding after my surgery, is this normal?!

Question: I had a laporoscopy with lasering of scar tissue to treat my endometreosis ( which is on the female organs) on monday and I bled very little at the hospital and none yesterday but today ( wednesday) i woke up and have been bleeding heavily and its like a burnt orange color. When I say bleeding, I mean its coming out the vagina ( dont want to sound gross but thats where the surgery was!)
Ive talked to a coworker whos had the same surgery and she mentioned that Id still be in pain, but nothing about the bleeding. Im at home alone and have to go to work in a few hours, and I dont know if im hemmoraging or if this is normal!!

It is possible to have some bleeding after laparoscopic surgery. Sometimes if you increase you activity level after surgery it will cause spotting or bleeding. Often, people try to do too much following surgery because they are feeling better but your body needs time to heal. I would stay off my feet today and call you doctor to advise them you are bleeding. You should have been given post-op instructions that told you this was normal.

I would get that checked out immediatley. You should only be feeling pain. The doctors could have strewed up the surgery.

you're saying you are bleeding. if only blood is coming out, in which case it is irregular.
however, there may be bacteria or secretion that your body wants to dispose of, which in case it is usually by force.
so, check with the doctor exactly what's coming out.

Call your doctors office and speak with his nurse IMMEDIATELY and she will talk to the doc and get back to you. This is not a question for yahoo answers but one you need to ask your doc as only he knows what you specifically had done etc. CALL NOW.

your uterus is likely getting rid of old endometrial tissue that was burned by the laser, I should think that would be expected. Keep a good supply of napkins, and change them often. If pain gets bad, that would be the time to call the doctor.

Get checked out IMMEDIATELY... no going into work, go immediately to the doctors.

I would cancel work and call your doctor immediately. That does not sound normal.

some bleeding is normal... if the blood is red and not orange and flowing then you need to get some medical help... or if you develop any type of fever... Your doctor should have explained this type of stuff to you, at the very least given you some written information... In the future consider a different doctor, if yours gave you no info for follow up care he/she isn't very good.

you should call a doctor and soon

i think the color is normal, when i had my baby by c section my blood was a funny color too but once bleeding from having baby/section stopped perods returned to normal red

Definetly contact your doctor as soon as you can! This doesn't sound good!Soory if I'm scaring you but I am just trying to help you!!Good luck!
