Question:

Answers:

Laser eye surgery is permanent. No, your eyes won't fall out at any point as a result of the surgery. The surgery is performed on the cornea (if you're talking refractive...there are other laser surgeries performed on retinal disorders/diseases and those will not cause the eye to fall out either).

The risks of complications are about 5% and include infection, flap problems, and overcorrection or undercorrection. These complications can be controlled and greatly reduced when the surgery is performed by an experienced, qualified eye surgeon, and compliance with taking the antibiotic drops they give you as instructed.

My hubby had LASIK and I had PRK in the last 2 months, and both of us have had no problems. We think this is because we had the best surgeon in our area who had an excellent educational background and we followed our postop instructions to the letter without fail. No complications.
