Need Eye diagnosis!!?!

Question:

Need Eye diagnosis!!?

A while ago i cut myself on some old rusty piece of metal in the woods...The next morning when i awoke-I was in the shower and i noticed i could see a bunch of organisms (it looks like) moving around constantly in my eyes..i know you're thinking floaters but i think not....this has been going on 24/7 ever since the incident...I got a tetanus shot and everything-

I now see these (well they look like worms) floating all over my eyes---I have double vision when i look at digital things like the clock on the cable box, All lights at night (especially street lights) shine off about 4 feet from the light---like looking at the sun on a bright day......

I've been to the opthamologist and he says i have 20/10 vision and he cant find anything wrong!!! which is hilarious to me because he says i have good vision yet I notice a 100% difference now.

I actually have a lot of other non-eye related symptoms but i'm new to the site and dont know how where to post a general diagnosis question

thanks

Answers:

Since you have a lot of other non-eye related symptoms, I would start by seeing your general practitioner. You've already had the eye exam, the other symptoms need to be addressed as well, and can be the best first step in diagnosing one particular disease process.

My floaters have always looked like little worms, but that was only on plain color backgrounds.

Get to your regular doctor for the beginning of a workup for your whole body (systemic symptoms), and I would go back to your eye doctor, letting him/her know this is really interfering with your vision, especially with the glare/halos at night. The double vision concerns me.

I am not sure that your metal injury will be connected to your eye symptoms...but could definitely be connected to your systemic symptoms.

Contact your general health care provider and release the information from your eye doctor to them (or go see if you can get a copy of your last visit records and hand carry). Try attacking this from multiple sides since you are having the other symptoms elsewhere in your body and a normal eye exam.

Best of luck to you.
