Why haven't I got used to this brand of contact lenses?!
Question: Why haven't I got used to this brand of contact lenses?
I bought Air Optix Aqua to try them (because of dry eyes) and it's been a week since I first wore them. The thing is they don't make my eyes red and they don't dry out but they feel weird. I know all eyes don't work the same with all brands but is it because of hydrogel? I used to wear another brand which was way thinner but dried up easily! And these feel thick. Could it be that the material isn't working well with my eyes? Or the fact that I haven't got used to them and the thicker design?

It took me over 2 weeks to get used to these, starting with only wearing them a few hours then increasing time, like when I had first started wearing contacts years ago. And yes, the gel and your eye's enzymes may not be reacting well together. Start by calling your eye caree person and make your case. You may have been fitted wrong- and I have had that pleasure...and the worst case is that you may have to switch brands or even see a specialist if the dry eye continues.
