metal in eye?????????????!


Question: Metal in eye?????????????
I am not sure if the actual bit of metal is in my eye. Yesterday i was using the drill when something from it which was very very small hit my eye, it didn't seem to have any blood shot then but then this morning my eye was blood shot and it felt a bit sore everytime i blinked. it seems to be ok now. But i'm not sure if the bloodshot was from hayfever or from the metal. I'm also not very sure if the metal is actually in my eye.
Do u have any suggestions i could do or any advice.

It is hard to say if a tiny metal chip is embedded in the eye or just hit it and caused irritation that might feel like something is in there and last a while. Personally I doubt it is embedded, I think it would have hurt a lot more. If there is any doubt, doctors can put a special dye on the surface of the eye, then look with a special light to detect even very small slivers or surface damage. They can also look inside the eye through the pupil with special lights etc if necessary.

use eye protection next time , it might be a small shard of metal in your eye
if it doesnt get better see a doctor
