Can someone help me with this?!
Question: Can someone help me with this?
Thanks for all the help
Answers:
Optometrists don't have a medical degree but ophthalmologists do. An optometrist most generally will only have about seven years of schooling in a college of optometry. An ophthalmologist will receive a minimum of twelve years of education. An optometrist is a healthcare professional whereas an ophthalmologist is a doctor with an MD.
Ophthalmology deals with the science of the structure, functions, and diseases of the eye. Optometry is concerned with examining the eye for defects and faults of refraction and with prescribing corrective lenses or eye exercises.
An optician is not an eye doctor, but opticians are an important part of your eye care team. Opticians use prescriptions written by an optometrist or an ophthalmologist to fit and sell eyeglasses, contact lenses and other eyewear.Optician has also been a term for people skilled in the design or fabrication of all types of optical devices.
Hope this helps! :-)
