Some peoples vision regresses a little after LASIK. Most people need reading glasses in their 40s even if LASIK is completely successful and there is no regression.

LASIK stands for Laser-Assisted In Situ Keratomileusis, a procedure that permanently changes the shape of the cornea, the clear covering of the front of the eye, using an excimer laser. A laser keratome (a laser device) is used to cut a flap in the cornea. A hinge is left at one end of this flap. The flap is folded back revealing the stroma, the middle-section of the cornea. Results maybe permanent, but your vision may also continue to go as you age.

By around the age of 40 , they will all start developing presbyopia and need reading glasses, the same as everyone else.
As for needing distance glasses again , that depends. Some have to go back to glasses again within 2 or 3 years, but many are good for 10 years or more.
There isn't a definite time span it will be good for.
