Question: If i have prescription glasses that are +1.25 for sphere and cylinder -0.25?
can i just go buy reading glasses to supplement my contacts

hiya

as my learned colleague saidi would agree with him, the astigmatism is almost next to nothing. the only thing i would add is if you do buy reading glasses try to buy some that actually fit nicely so to minimise affects of the lenses as the frame will not be exactly be according to your eye width ie your PD.

in layman terms just get a frame thats fits nicely and you can se eyourself looking through the centre of the lens

That's a rather "mild" prescription, and your astigmatism doesn't seem to be severe, so you would probably do OK with OTC reading glasses.
