If everybody else can read the board, and you can't, you need glasses. If you went to the eye doctor and he said you don't need glasses, did he give an explanation for the problem?

PS if you are saying this just because you want glasses because all your friends have them or whatever, there is no need to make up some story, just get fake glasses on-line (also in some stores). Note: fake glasses have no lens power; they are NOT the same as reading glasses.

im actually an optometrist and have been practising for a number of years and one of the first things i tend ask about is the clarity of the blackboard or whiteboard and most of the time when patients say it is unclear i test their eyes mostly i find they need glasses (ie a prescription)

i think it would be good to know what your eye doctor said about your eyes and secondly i think if you mean when you say you put your friends glasses on everything becomes clear it normally means the prescription in those glasses has made things less blurry for you ie clear but they are not the exact right lenses for you.

tell me whats the eye doctor said and i can advise you on your prescription

The reason anyone says " make an appt and see the eye doctor" is because on this forum, it is all speculation and educated guesses since no one here can actually test your eyes. Yes, it sounds like you need glasses, but I think you already know that, so go to your appt and see what type of correction you need and get some nice glasses.

Yes, it definitely sounds like you need glasses. If you don't want to wear glasses, ask your doctor about contacts.
