When you look to one side, your vision is actually only what you're seeing out of that one eye on the side, because your nose blocks your other eye. Since humans are used to seeing with bifocal vision, your right eye is trying to compensate and actually doubles your vision. Your brain is just too smart for this though. It should go away when you get older and your brain loses some capacity.
When you look to one side one of your retinal nerves detaches from the outside eye. It's just a split second detachment and USUALLY reattaches when you look forward again, but DON'T PUSH IT! You could go blind in that eye.
