Why do my eyes look a pinkish color and is crusted shut in the mornings?!

Question: Why do my eyes look a pinkish color and is crusted shut in the mornings?
Yesterday morning (Sunday) I woke and both of my eyes were crusted shut and when I opened them and looked at them throughout the day they were a pinkish color in some areas of both eyes. Today (Monday) I woke up and they were crusted shut again but today it was worse than yesterday and both my whole eyes are that same pinkish color.

I had a terrible cold Thursday where I had a sore throat, headache, stuffed nose, a crook in my neck, stomach aches, back aches, and whenever I wanted to go to sleep something was hurting whether it was my back, my stomach, my head, or the crook in neck so I had to sit up all throughout the night. Yeah I felt I was going to die but I made it through.

So now I still got a stuffed nose, a little headache, and my throat feel fine but it's a little scratchy and makes me cough and I was wondering are my eyes acting like this because of the cold I had or is it something else? Please help.

Sounds like pink eye or some other sort of infection. Go to an eye doctor and they will give you drops. Usually you put the drops in both eyes until the drops run out and you have to avoid wearing contacts if you have them.

my mother is an opthamologist

could be conjunctivitus
