Answers:

Rods and cones are photoreceptor cells which are responsible for you being able to see!.
Cones are only found in the central parts of the retina, mainly at the macula (the bit of the retina which sees detailed vision)!. They are responsible for your colour vision and give you the detailed sight that allows us to read!.
Rods are mainly found in the non-macula region, (everywhere else!!) and can only see in black and white, they are generally responsible for your awareness of movement in your peripheral vision!. They also allow you to see at night!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well cones are needed just to see anything!. Rods give you color vision unlike dogs which only have cones!. If you only have cones, you'll see but all in black and white!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, they make you see, so they are kind of important, unless you are blind, than you dont need them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
