Has anyone had laser eye surgery here!?

Where did you go for it!? Any complications!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I had the surgery about three years ago because I hate glasses and they were always getting dirty and falling off!. There are several different procedures, depending on what is best for you!. What they did for me is adjust one eye to see close and one eye to see far away!. After the surgery, I was able to see close right away!. The eye that had the far sight took several months to adjust and it's still not perfect!. I wear glasses once in a while to watch concerts, plays -- things that are far away!. But my eyes together are almost 20/20 and I went to that from about 30/200!.

After the surgery, I had to go through several weeks of putting in eye drops so that my eyes would heal properly and once in a while I have to put in eye drops because they feel dry!.

My eyes were done at Denver Lasik and I paid for the surgery through CareCredit!. I opted for their lifetime "guarantee" which allows me further surgery at no cost if I feel something needs to be tweaked!. However, after visiting my optometrist, he informed me that too many surgeries tends to weaken the eyes so I probably should have asked him questions before I actually had the surgery!.

Now, about CareCredit: It's was a good way for me to pay for the surgery -- it's a credit card for things like Lasik or dental work or cosmetic surgery!. My plan was to put $300 down and then paid $125 a month for 18 months, interest free!. Check it out at CareCredit!.com!. You can find out if a provider you're planning to seek surgery from is a member of CareCredit and what services are provided!.

I have several family members who had Lasik done, both had been wearing contacts for 20 to 30 years and now have perfect vision!. It truly is a wonderful thing to see again without having to clean your glasses all the time or, if you're like me, could never get those beastly contacts in!.

Also, the surgery itself, you're awake but they numb your eyes but it's still kind of a weird feeling to have surgery performed on your eyes while you're awake!. Denver Lasik walked me through each step, though, what they were about to do and what I would experience with each step so it was a little more comforting!. My husband and daughter were able to watch the surgery through the glass and see on a tv screen what they were doing!.

Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi,

I'd reccomend that you have a look at the following website: www!.lasik-eyes!.co!.uk It contains information on all the laser eye surgery providers in the UK as well as plenty of information from and for people like yourself who are about to engage in treatment!.

If you do one thing, research your treatment very well!. This is not a very well regulated industry nor is this 'like going to the dentist'!. Once you have treatment done, you cannot reverse it!.

Be weary of promises to improve your vision (this is not possible with laser) with various fancy sounding techniques (with the added increase in cost)!. I'd certainly recommend that you request to see your surgeon for an assessment prior to having the treatment (not on the day of treatment)!. Often you are quoted a particular price and treatment only for the surgeon to suggest a better/more suitable form of treatment 5 minutes before you are due to have laser!.

You certainly want to have treatment done with the people/company that you trust the most!. The above website has good information, read some of the forums about surgeons / companies etc and perhaps ask people on the site for further information about the particular individuals that are to carry out your treatment!.

Hope this helpsWww@Answer-Health@Com

Well, I haven't had it myself personally, but a lot of friends swear by it, and are glad that they got it!. My brother got it India through India Health Guru Consultants, and he said it was great Laser eye surgery helped millions of people to be able to see, without the help of contacts and glasses!. It will help you too, but make sure you get the right doctor for the procedure!. After the surgery, one feels mild discomfort or pain for a couple of days!. The procedure itself is not painful because they give you anaesthetic drops to numb the eye!. For the first week, one may have sensitivity to light as blurry vision and dry eyes!. All these side effects disappear within a few days and!. The process is simple, safe and fast!. They are making big improvements in this field, so it's probably worth it if you can afford it and don't need to use your eyes for a few days
