I had the surgery a few years ago it wasn't painful because your asleep & when you wake up your eyes feel fine, well mine felt fine like i hadn't even had a surgery!.Some people may feel a little sore!. My eyes were red for a while ( 2 days i think)!. Im going back next week to get the surgery on my left eye because it didn't hold on that eye well the first time because my vein was to thin to hold!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I haven't had strabismus surgery but know a lot of people who have!. Their eyes are usually red and can be uncomfortable!. Some people feel like their eyes are gritty!. The soreness around your eyes can last a few days, the redness a few weeks!. Your doctor may prescribe antibiotic drops or ointments to prevent infection after surgery!. The ointments seem to be particularly soothing!. Your doctor may allow you to take something like tylenol after your surgery!. Just make sure you ask!. :) Also, you'll want to avoid dusty environments and strenuous activity after your surgery!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
